Calico store manager Kisha Killingsworth moves fast among fabric, trim, and furnishings to address customers’ many design questions. The new store is a visually stunning rectangular space with every inch dedicated to fabric swatches, wallpaper samples, decorative trim, and furnishings. Calico is a public showroom that provides custom-made home décor goods, including window treatments, pillows and bedding, and upholstery. Festivities began at 5:00 p.m., with former Mayor Allison Silberberg assuming ribbon-cutting honors.

So much to drool over…the bedding, the chandelier, the artwork–especially the incredible painting by Savannah-based artist Bellamy Murphy!

The master bedroom might be my favorite space in the cottage. Some rustic details and another great barn artwork by Lindsey P. The pendants from Hinkley Lighting are fab too! The custom-made reclaimed wood island was built by Rhett Smith of RS Custom Furnishings. No typical white cabinets here, these beauties are also painted Benjamin Moore’s Dark Harbor CSP-720. Each piece was commissioned just for Acorn Falls Cottage! So much talent! Actually all of the artwork throughout the home is fantastic. My favorite thing in the living room is the barn artwork by Atlanta-based artist Lindsey P. The door painted Benjamin Moore’s Dark Harbor CSP-720 is a taste of what’s to come… Loving this custom-made sign by AR Workshop! The porch rockers from Grandin Road below are great too! (I’ll include a lot more sources at the bottom of the post.) Oh how I’d love to enjoy my morning coffee on this porch! Love the porch swing from Ballard Design.

It was designed by Missy Woolf (the talent behind The Salty Mermaid Cottage, one of my favorite homes on Tybee Island!) I love that she kept much of the original charm of the cottage while giving it a fresh, updated look with rustic luxe furnishings, fabulous local artwork, and fun colorful fabric…not to mention plenty of turquoise to go around! And these photographs by Sarah Ingram capture everything so beautifully! It’s not too often I get the opportunity to share a mountain home infused with turquoise!
